Dr. Marc A. Brackett, Director, Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence

Marc Brackett, Ph.D., is Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. His research focuses the role of emotional intelligence in decision making, relationships, mental health, and both academic and workplace performance, as well as the impact of emotional intelligence training. He has published over 100 scholarly articles and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Joseph E. Zins Award for his research on social and emotional learning. He is the co-creator of RULER, an evidence-based approach to teaching social and emotional learning that has been adopted by more than 1000 public and private schools reaching nearly one million students, including their educators and families. Dr. Brackett serves on a wide-range of Advisory Boards, including CASEL and Born This Way Foundation. For the last three years, he has collaborated with Facebook on three projects: (1) tools to help adolescents manage online bulling, (2) The Bullying Prevention Hub that provides resources for children, families, and educators; and (3) inspirED, a resource center to help high schools build more positive learning environments. He regularly consults with school systems and corporations around the world and his research has been featured in the New York Times and Time Magazine; he also is a frequent guest on National Public Radio. He also holds a 5th degree black belt in Hapkido, a Korean martial art.

Leisa Reid, Speaker, Trainer, Author

Leisa Reid is a presenter with Productive Learning, a boutique growth company founded in 1992. She trains over 100 groups a year as a guest speaker throughout Southern California. After 20+ years of Management, Sales and Executive Leadership, Leisa dedicated her life to assisting others invest in their personal development. Why? Because she personally experienced the powerful results as a client of Productive Learning. She loved the company so much she joined them, in the pursuit of living an extraordinary life.  Most recently, she became a contributing author to a book, “Dare to be Authentic: Learning to Trust Yourself,” and shares her own personal journey of self-discovery.

Pete Kirchmer, Founder of Mindfulness Based Health Coaching, MBSR teacher, and is the Program Director for the UCSD Centre for Mindfulness mPEAK (Mindful, Performance Enhancement, Awareness & Knowledge) Program

Pete Kirchmer is the founder of Mindfulness Based Health Coaching and is the Program Director for the UCSD Center For Mindfulness mPEAK (Mindful, Performance Enhancement, Awareness & Knowledge) Program. Pete specializes in coaching his clients in applying the practice of mindfulness to making healthy lifestyle changes, managing stress and improving performance in life, work and sport. Pete has completed training to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the U Mass Oasis Inst., and is a certified Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher through the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. He holds a BS in Exercise Physiology, and is a Certified Professional Life Coach through the Coaches Training institute, Center for Applied Positive Psychology and Wellcoaches. 
Currently Pete has a private coaching practice with clients around the country, he's a regular presenter at Rancho La Puerta, a world class wellness resort in Tecate, Mexico and also teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses for UCSD and Yoga Studios in Encinitas, CA. He is an active member of the Harvard Institute for Coaching and is a Guiding Teacher for the Encinitas Mindfulness Community (EMC).

International Coaching Week (ICW) is an annual weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession. It's the local ICF Chapters and coaches who make ICW successful. ICW 2016 will take place May 16–22, 2016.
