President's Message

Hello friends,

It’s the holiday season! 2020 has been an unusual year, yet there are lots to be thankful for. November is Thanksgiving in America and we celebrate and appreciate all those that we are grateful for. Gratitude is a place to come from and elevates the vibration of humanity and our planet. Even in this pandemic, we still have much to be grateful for. I for one am grateful to see people being super creative and thinking outside the box, our resilience in difficult circumstances, communities connecting in unique ways (see picture below), and to have my college kids spending more time at home; an unexpected gift.

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful November and inviting you to share what you are grateful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nourishing Thoughts,
Nanor Ohanesian, PCC

Business Development Mastermind

From February through December, our chapter has run a Business Development Mastermind program for our coaches, facilitated by Program Director, Nahid Casazza.  With covid, we immediately had to change our plans and move from an in-person format to zoom, but to our delight, we were still able to create a cohesive and supportive group that empowered all of us to take meaningful steps forward in our businesses and our lives during this crazy year.

Here are some of what people said about their experience in the group: in addition to our larger groups we had micro-groups of three or four that met frequently throughout the month and my small group was incredibly supportive to me, I was surprised at how close and supportive everyone could be on zoom and it was really nice to have a group to share my concerns with ... it made me realize I was not alone and that boosted my confidence.

Book Club

Our November Book Club meeting was extraordinary! Here is what a participant shared "I had heard of Tracy Goss and her book “The Last Word on Power” by her reputation from colleagues I trust and respect. To have this recognized author and accomplished businesswoman be so present, engaged, and willing to challenge us to be clear about what we really, really want and pose the question that I am now asking myself “What will I use my life for?” was just what I needed to hear. I left inspired, humbled, and grateful. Thank you, Tracy! Thank you to Scott Hunter for being the connection to Tracy and to the entire ICF-OC Board and Programming for how you continuously deliver for the coaching community!"

December we will read "Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear" by Elizabeth Gilbert. Looking forward to discussing it with you on December 10th!

Programming Events

We are not finished yet! Yesterday was our final session with Adam Quiney where we continued our learning on creating a powerful, authentic client engagement process.  In this more open session, Adam addressed the issues that make us feel most awkward during the sales process.  We are already hearing from some of our coaches how this new approach is making a positive difference in their practices!

AND for our Grand Finale Chapter Meeting Speaker in November, we have Alexia Vernon, national sought-after speaking coach, to help you use your coaching skills and presence to completely transform people through speaking opportunities – with a special focus on how to do ZOOM speaking engagements.   Don’t miss it – register here.
