President's Message

Happy New Year to each of you, and to those in your circle of family and friends!

So much has been written about 2020, a year like no other. Some of us have adapted with ease to the new environment in our personal and professional lives, and others have faced unimaginable challenges and difficulties. Regardless, we all have turned the page on our calendars and the coming months hold promises of change. I hope it brings good news for each of you.

Amidst all this uncertainty, we have predictability with our new Board of Directors who will lead our community of coaches in 2021. Every Board member is passionate about the profession of coaching and is determined to have a long-lasting impact on this community and the clients s/he serves. Please take a minute to have a look at our bios, and update your own under ‘Members Area’. A special thanks goes to Past President Nanor Ohanesian, who graciously and effectively led us last year as we transitioned to virtual meetings and events, and to outgoing Past President and Finance Director Dave Huxtable and Community Outreach Director Doug Gfeller. Also, thank you to Nahid Casazza, Camber Hill, and Petra Russell for your continued service, and welcome to Karen Holmes, Rafael Durand, and Lori Banks! Also welcome to the new Programming Committee members Sharon Carroll, Raffi Sarafian, and Michael Coffey. You all have given me a great appreciation for what it means to lead this organization.

As our Chapter welcomes the new year, we find ourselves renewing some intentions and creating new ones. Keeping in line with last year’s theme, we will continue our efforts to help coaches expand their businesses. At the same time, we will add skills development, personal growth and self-development, and life coaching as additional themes. These four areas are reflected in our overall strategy for our Chapter and are the focus of our programs.

Please know that we welcome your suggestions and thoughts about how we can serve you. Also, we encourage you to get involved. We can use some help in the areas of  community outreach and marketing and communications. Please write to us at [email protected] and we will put you in touch with Karen Holmes and Lori Banks. Get to know some of your fellow coaches while having some fun!

Wherever you are in California's Orange County and its Inland Empire, or the world, we hope it will be a great year for you!

With warm regards,
Greta Boye
President
